Welcome to Rainbow Preschool

Rainbow Preschool in Munich is a bilingual Montessori Preschool for children of ages 3 – 6, supported by the City of Munich. We have promoted and celebrated multicultural coexistence since 2000. “The world is a rainbow with many kinds of people” – this singular line of a children’s song is the embodiment of what the children, teachers, and parents experience here at Rainbow Preschool.

Rainbow Preschool’s educational concept relies on the teaching methods of the Italian reform educator and physician, Maria Montessori. Within the caring environment of Rainbow Preschool, the children can be curious, take initiative, discover independence and the joy of learning.

Multicultural

Our families of different ethnicities and religious backgrounds are what make us unique.

Daily Schedule

Between 9 and 11 am every day the children focus on working with Montessori materials/do arts and crafts. After that, it is circle time and outdoor play.

Organic Food

The children get a healthy snack in the morning and post lunch at 2.30 pm for children in the afternoon programme, plus lunch in the afternoon, supplied by Valerians Catering and Amperhof.

celebrations

Every year the families and teachers take part not only in Oktoberfest or St. Martin’s Day, but also Diwali, Chinese New Year and Halloween.

Once the children have settled in, trips to museums, exhibitions, farms, etc. are organized every month.
